A-tired of the depending,
the water, the swallowing of misty mornings
A-tired of the suspecting,
the marshmallows in my eyes, the caffeine,
and those who come in between

A-thinkin' about the dreaming,
the children who needed to be, the rainbows

the imagination, the bitter intruders who stare,
and those who come though they don't care
